Look at that face, how can you not get emotional?
It’s no surprise that I love weddings. Love every detail. But it has occurred to me on occasion that perhaps I’m not cut out for this business.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m good. Very good. It’s just that, well, I cry at every wedding.
Weddings are emotional events and each has its fair share of special moments that tug at the heartstrings. But there’s one moment that gets to me every time.
When all heads turn to catch a glimpse of the bride about to walk down the aisle, I turn the other way to see the beaming groom, just waiting for that first glance of his beautiful (and they’re always beautiful) bride. Often they’re bouncing on their feet. Like little kids. So excited they can barely stand still. I watch those handsome men, glowing with love and expectation and hope.
Hope that this beautiful day is just the beginning of a long and happy life together.
A beautiful bride is a joy to behold, but seeing her happy groom waiting eagerly at the other end of the aisle is a pretty magical sight too.
Uh, can someone please pass me a tissue………
